Phagocytic cells are specialized to non-specifically consume and digest antigens.  
The macrophage is an example of a phagocytic cell.  
In addition to this non-specific clean-up function, macrophages digest engulfed antigens and place small antigenic pieces on their surface for presentation to lymphocytes.
